Iconic Japanese temple
Japanese temples have a special tranquility and are surrounded by beautifully curated landscapes. Using numerous layers of screen printing, I have built up a painterly image to convey the stillness and beauty I found there. Gold leaf has then been applied to the prints, as it is applied to the temples themselves, to purify and protect them from negativity.
