Flight II
To dream, to fly...
Drypoint etching printed on 25 x 19cm Somerset Satin paper 300gsm from an edition of 9
This work was inspired by childhood dreams and a lust for adventure, both in the mind and elsewhere. This is a drypoint, a form of etching where the image is created by scratching directly onto the perspex plate. Since no acid is needed, the metal isn't dissolved as on an etched plate, but is thrown up on each side of the line, creating the lovely soft marks. This wears down with each successive print, hence the small edition. Printed on Somerset Velvet paper 300gsm.
